The greatest roads to drive on

If you are someone who loves to drive, you’ll find that you are just itching to find fantastic roads to drive on. What roads are going to be perfect for you, and what can you see when you are wandering the world? The truth of the matter is that there are plenty of great roads all over the world; all you have to do is pick one and see where it takes you.

The Tail of the Dragon: U. S. Route 129
If you love the idea of taking a high performance vehicle along some gorgeous twists and turns, check out the Tail of the Dragon, located in Tennessee. This piece of road stretches over 11 miles and there is not one intersection or driveway to get in your way. This is a road for people who really love driving and who cannot get enough out of their own car’s handling.

Conor Pass
When you love the idea of seeing what the roads in Ireland are made of, make sure that you check out Conor Pass, which runs from Dingle Peninsula towards Brandom Bay. This is a narrow road, so consider whether your family car is up to it before you give it a shot. If you do, you will be rewarded by beautiful green landscapes and a truly gorgeous view of the cliffs. Another great reason to see this route is simply to enjoy the loneliness of the Irish landscape.

German Castle Road
Where should you drive if you are invested in seeing something completely otherworldly and gorgeous? If you are after a rather mystical good time, head to Germany for the Castle Road. This route will take you by more than fifty castles and palaces. Some of these structures are nothing but beautiful ruins, while others are as pristine as they were four hundred years ago. If you are looking for a romantic drive, this is the choice for you! Make sure you have the time for it, though. This road is more than 500 miles long!

Route 66
The most famous road in the United States is without a doubt, Route 66. This highway stretches from Chicago to Santa Barbara in California, and its roots go back more than a hundred years. This route is famous for its roadside attractions, and if you want to see a call back to America during the fifties, this is the place to go. Route 66 is very long, so while you probably won’t be able to drive its entire length, even driving along a portion of it can give you a real sense of scope and history.

Dades Gorge Road
The Dades Gorge Road is located in Morroco, and when you are looking for scenery that is spare but spectacular, this is where you need to be. The desert stretches out for more than sixty miles, and you’ll find that the gorge itself is a stunning geological feature. If you are looking to see something that is fantastically memorable, Dades Gorge Road is one for your list.
